Dato’ Asmuni was appointed to the Board of Malaysia Debt Ventures Berhad (MDV) on 13 August 2020 and currently serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director.

He is the Chairman of One Glove Group Berhad (formerly Gets Global Berhad), a Director of PT Resources Holdings Berhad, and the Senior Independent Non-Executive Director of SPB Development Berhad.

Prior to joining MDV, Dato’ Asmuni held senior leadership roles including Chief Operating Officer for Banking Operations at Bank Kerjasama Rakyat Malaysia Berhad, and Chief Financial Services Officer as well as Chief Operating Officer at Bank Pertanian Malaysia Berhad.

His career spans more than thirty (30) years with Malayan Banking Berhad (Maybank), where he served in various capacities ranging from Branch Manager to General Manager of Maybank Brunei, and later as Regional Director for Selangor/Negeri Sembilan overseeing banking operations, retail, SME, micro, and consumer financing. In total, he has accumulated over thirty (30) years of experience in commercial banking and eight (8) years with development financial institutions.

Dato’ Asmuni holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Malaya, conferred in 1980.
