Rozita Khamsiah Othman is currently the Senior Vice President of Compliance & Governance, where she leads the establishment and strategic oversight of the Compliance & Governance Department. With a clear mandate to uphold regulatory excellence, institutional accountability, and ethical conduct, she steers MDV’s governance transformation to align with evolving Malaysian regulatory frameworks and industry best practices.
A seasoned governance leader with over 26 years of experience in legal advisory, compliance, and corporate secretarial functions, Rozita has served across government-linked companies, statutory bodies, listed entities, and multinational joint ventures. She brings a rare blend of legal depth, governance acumen, and strategic foresight to her leadership, ensuring that MDV’s compliance architecture not only meets regulatory requirements but also enhances organisational integrity and stakeholder trust.
Prior to rejoining MDV, Rozita was the General Manager of Sapura Secured Technologies Group of Companies, where she oversaw a portfolio of over 50 subsidiaries and spearheaded the establishment of the Group’s Compliance Unit as part of a wider corporate transformation. She also held a senior leadership position at Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH), where she led the Governance component of the organisation’s transformation programme (HIJRAH 24), modernised governance charters and board committee terms of reference, and digitalised board operations to improve efficiency and transparency.
Her earlier tenure at MDV as Vice President, Legal & Secretarial, marked significant milestones — including the successful structuring of the institution’s Sukuk Murabahah fund, introduction of intellectual property-based financing documentation, and recovery of RM40 million in defaulted loans. These achievements exemplify her ability to translate governance principles into tangible institutional outcomes.
Rozita holds an LLB (Hons) from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and is a Fellow Chartered Secretary (FCIS (CS) CGP, MAICSA No. 7061126) with a valid SSM Practising Certificate. A strong advocate of continuous learning and people development, she is also a Certified NLP Master Practitioner, Certified NLP Coach, LAB Profile Practitioner, and Agile Scrum Master — reflecting her belief that high-performance governance is achieved through both structural excellence and human transformation.
