Apart from obtaining a Bumiputera status in 1989, Setanding is also a registered company with the Ministry of Finance Malaysia since 4 April 1989.

Setanding is also the authorized representative for Federal Warning System in regards to marketing and selling Outdoor Warning Siren System in Malaysia and Brunei.
