Encik Mohd Azrin was appointed as a board member of MDV on 15 January 2026. He serves as the Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of MDV i.e. a Board representative from the Ministry of Finance (MOF).
Encik Mohd Azrin has over twenty three (23) years of experience in accounting and finance, fiscal and monetary policies, economic reform, debt management, sukuk issuance, Public-Private Partnerships (PPP), and governance oversight. He holds a Bachelor of Accounting from Universiti Sains Malaysia, a Diploma in Public Administration from INTAN, and a Master of Economics from Universiti Putra Malaysia.
He is currently the Section Head of Financing and Cashflow Management in the Fiscal Policy and Debt Management Office under the Fiscal and Economic Division at the MOF, where he leads the formulation of Federal Government’s financing strategy and managing Federal Government’s cashflow position.
Encik Mohd Azrin began his career at MOF in 2004 and has since held senior roles across multiple divisions, including debt and liabilities, PPP evaluation and negotiation, and government guarantees. He also served as Advisor to the Executive Director of the World Bank Group in Washington, D.C. from 2023 to 2025, bringing valuable international experience to his current leadership role.
