Ola Bola The Musical Bersama Rumah Bakti Nur Syaheera (RBNS)

MDV was one of the corporate sponsors of Enfiniti’s Production of Ola Bola the Musical under the brilliant directorship of YBhg Puan Sri Tiara Jacquelina. Due to that, MDV’s Board of Directors and Senior Management team set aside a few hours last Friday night to join the rest of the Istana Budaya audience for a fun-filled night, to watch “Ola Bola The Musical”, a musical packed with amazing talents, incredible props and very original soundtracks. Inspired by true events of the Malaysian football team’s journey to the 1980 Olympics in Moscow, and adapted from the 2016 box-office hit movie, OlaBola The Musical is a story of unity, determination and brotherhood. It follows the journey of Chow Kwok Keong, the team Captain who is determined to lead the Harimau Malaya team to the Olympic glory, and his best friend, the very affable wannabe sports commentator Rahman. We meet team goalkeeper, Muthu, team star striker Ali and the rest of the colourful team, and through their dreams and challenges of their journey to the Olympics, we learn of a time when this little nation of ours believed in dreaming big. Also a part of MDV’s CSR initiative, children from asrama anak-anak yatim dan miskin Rumah Bakti Nur Syaheera (RBNS) were also invited to enjoy the unforgettable night. RBNS, which was set up in 2009, is a home for orphans and underprivileged children in Cheras. We were also extremely grateful to our beloved Chairman, YBhg. Tan Sri Zarinah, who took the time out of her busy schedule to grace the programme with her presence and proceeded in presenting the home with some cash contribution. It was truly an affair to remember where MDV stakeholders, customers and our CSR recipients were under one roof to witness and enjoy this grand show. Truly, the CSR initiative had taught us to always be thankful for all the good things in life that we have and to always cherish and appreciate our loved ones.
