Wan Mazirah Wan Omar, Head, Finance & Admin

Wan Mazirah Wan Omar was appointed as Head of Finance and Administration of Malaysia Debt Ventures Berhad on May 16, 2011. She has vast experience in accounting, finance and administrative operations with diversified industries for more than 17 years. She started her career with an audit firm, Mohd Ali and Co. before joining Sapura Group of Companies as an Accounts Executive for its constructions and telecommunication projects. She left Sapura and join Karyaneka Sdn. Bhd. in 2001 as Finance and Administration Manager. As head of the support functions, she was primarily responsible for the full spectrum of finance and administrative functions and helped to turnaround the company to its successive growth. Her entrepreneur skills include founder of Young Minds Individual Development Centre at Taman Melawati and managing an accounting and outsourcing business. Prior to joining MDV, she was with TMF Malaysia, a global business outsource provider where she was responsible for the overall internal accounting and administrative functions of the company. Wan Mazirah graduated from UiTM with Bachelor in Accountancy (Hons) in 1994 and a member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) as chartered accountant since 1998.
