Ahmad Fauzi Adnan, Head, Internal Audit
Fauzi is the Head of Internal Audit Department at Malaysia Debt Ventures Berhad on 13 July, 2010 and is overall responsible for developing and leading the Internal Audit Department in a professional manner which seeks to ensure that it is effective and commands a high standard of respect both internally and externally.
He has over 20 years’ of solid banking industry experience behind him. Prior to joining MDV, Fauzi was the Head of Credit Audit at Exim Bank Malaysia Berhad. In addition to his audit engagement on cross-border financing experience at Exim Bank, Fauzi had previously acquired 15 years of internal audit experience via his attachment at Group Internal Audit Division of CIMB Group.
Throughout those years, he has been involved in various significant internal audit areas covering investigation, management and subsidiary, business, treasury, international banking and branch audit respectively.
Fauzi started his career in the banking industry as Credit Officer at the Corporate Banking Division of the former MBF Finance Berhad and Operations Officer of United Malayan Banking Corporation Berhad (UMBC).
He holds a Bachelor of Legal Studies (Hons) and Diploma in Business Studies from Mara University of Technology (Uitm). Currently, he is pursuing MBA programme in Islamic Banking and Finance at the National University of Malaysia (UKM) that offers the opportunity to reflect on his managerial experience and extend his knowledge into Islamic banking areas.
